About This Lesson

Students will study the role that food plays in human life.  Through this study, they will identify food topics to research further.  Topics include food and identity, history of food, nutritional content and effect on the body, big business foods and policy, food inequality and food scarcity, and socioeconomic.

Students will participate in a panel discussion for students to showcase their research and learning as they are now “experts” on their food topic.  They will create presentations to share with attendees.

A video of the summit may be created and shared with future participants that complete this project and can see past summits.
