About This Lesson

This is an activity I did with my middle school students in which they researched one person from the included list and made a paper square with images and text related to that person. Together, these squares built a class quilt suitable for display on a bulletin board or wall as part of your class' or school's observance of Black History Month. This includes a link to the quilt my students made in Feb 2018 as an example.

(If you like and download this, feel free to give a nice rating or comment. Thanks!)

I love this idea and am adapting it for 3rd graders, who have already started their research in Encyclopedia Britannica Online and are very excited. Thank you so much!
