About This Lesson

Students discover the rule for finding the derivative of an inverse function at a point, by analytically comparing the derivative of f(x) at (a,b) to the derivative of f inverse at (b,a). Students generalize teh rule so that they can find the derivative of f inverse when given the f, without having to find an equatino for f inverse.
