About This Lesson
This lesson plan is designed to engage Elementary School students and help them understand the day-to-day life of a soldier during the Civil War including learning about the things that they wore and carried, and the reasons that they fought in certain places. This lesson plan is aligned to Common Core and National Council for the Social Studies standards and has been endorsed by the History Channel.
