Character Synopsis: Dante has grown more confident and comfortable with his identity in recent weeks – so much so that he decided to quit the football team to pursue art. One problem: he hasn’t told his dad. His friend Eric is sympathetic to his plight, but when mixed signals at Eric’s house result in a humiliating exchange, Dante spirals back into the negative thinking that tormented him for years. This time, however, Dante has a supportive mentor in Scott, Coach Nelson’s son. With lessons learned since he began to accept himself, Dante finds he can cope with the negative voice in his head and take on challenges like the misunderstanding with Eric - and telling his dad he quit football.
