About This Lesson
Recycled Crew Exploration Vehicle asks students in grades 4-5 to compare NASA's new Orion space capsule to the Apollo space capsules. Students then design their own capsule and transform a 2-D drawing into a 3-D model using recycled materials. Students utilize a design process to create and evaluate their designs.
