About This Lesson

Multiplying fractions with whole numbers can be a tricky math concept to understand. Rather than using textbooks, consider using these highly visual multiplying fractions worksheets.

Each worksheet uses colorful diagrams to represent the fraction being multiplied. Using this visual method of representing fractions can help cement understanding.

This resource addresses the following standards: CCSS 4.NF.B.4, 5.NF.B.4.A.

These multiplying fractions worksheets contain ten questions, each with a diagram to depict the question being asked. All your students need to do is take a look at the diagram, count the shaded segments, and find out the answer. Why not extend your children’s learning by asking them to come up with their own multiplying fractions questions? They can show off their understanding with a visual diagram, just like they’ve seen on these multiplying fractions worksheets.
