About This Lesson
This activity requires the teacher to print out the page of the 10 steps towards making a successful New World Colony, cut them into strips, and then have the students try to arrange the steps in the correct order. When they think they have it done, the teacher can then give them the next 2 pages of the handout, which shows the steps in the correct order. After each step, students must explain why the step is necessary towards building a colony.
