Hi everyone, my name is Kelly Jefferson, and after 17 years with one of Ohio's largest and most innovative school districts, I still have a passion for the students I have the privilege to serve as an Intervention Specialist. I hold a BS in Marketing from the University of Cincinnati (Go Bearcats!) and a M. Ed in Special Education (K-12, Mild -Moderate) from Grand Canyon University.
My absolute passion areas are increasing the foundational reading skills of children so they are better able to acess grade level texts through increasing their oral reading fluency and comprehension skills, and equipping students with empirically supported mindfulness based interventions (MBIs) that kids can utilize in real time to diffuse stressful situations and induce calm within their nervous system.
