In this session, participants will learn how to cultivate and maintain a practice of self-care and gratitude in and out of the classroom, and how to seamlessly weave this practice between their professional and personal lives. We'll explore key research and evidence-based resources for promoting overall well-being and learn which tools can best support your practice. This session will also ensure time for a mindful meditation exercise.
I truly enjoyed the session - it covers the 7 Pillars of Self-Care, a relaxing and soothing meditation with a focus on that which brings you joy, and lastly, the Self-Care Check In. I completed the self-care check in with the commitment to emotional self-care - (3 wins for today, journal for 5 minutes), physical: increase your heart rate (dog walking, cross fit,) and take 2 minutes to breathe with awareness, and spiritual featuring a random act of kindness. For the following day, I wrote down three goals and one random act of kindness in my reflection journal to get myself on the road to self-care.
