About This Lesson

The responsibility of responding to natural disasters is shared by the local, state and national governments. With recent hurricanes, flooding and wildfires, these different levels of government have often struggled to meet the needs of citizens affected by these events. This deliberation examines ways that governments can improve their response to these natural disasters. Students will explore multiple perspectives to address the following question:
