About This Lesson
If you ran for president, you would have to do a lot of hard work. You would study the nation’s problems, tell the American people about your platform, select a running mate, and debate your opponents on live television. This lesson includes a video of Lonnie Chavis, Parker Bates and Mackenzie Hancsicsak reading If I Ran for President and a Teacher's Guide (grade 2-3).

Good questions for building background knowledge, which is the objective of the lesson. There are also cross-curriculum activities in addition to a writing and reading response for students. I could see the actors reading the story engaging for students. Perhaps the description could include the lesson objective.
