After practicing together as a class, a student will be able to look at a piece of information and do the following

independently:

1. Question its accuracy using basic logic (would a war from colonial times be happening in 2025?)

2. Open a new tab and be able to ask the right question to get a good result from the online search

(When did the Seven Years War start and end?)

3. Find a reliable source and read through the information, looking for keywords or phrases

4. Type in the correct answer based on their independent research

5. Be able to cite their source using a hyperlink

These steps ensure students will become able to spot and research possible misinformation or disinformation online, becoming an educated and critically thinking citizen in a global community.
